TAMPA, Fla. – In response to the voter registration deadline extension, Hillsborough County Tax Collector, Doug Belden, will keep offices open until 7PM tonight, October 6th to accept voter registration applications.
“In an effort to help Hillsborough County voters, I believe it is important for us to remain open to provide additional locations for them to drop off their voter registration application” said Doug Belden.
All Hillsborough County Tax Collector offices except the AAA and Downtown office will remain open until 7PM on October 6th to accept voter registration applications. No other Tax Collector services will be available. Applicants can apply in office or drop off a completed voter application at the available Tax Collector offices. Applications can also be completed online. Visit https://www.votehillsborough.org/ for more information.
According to the directive from the Secretary of State, Florida’s voter registration deadline to participate in the November 3rd General Election has been extended in response to an outage that affected online applications.
