HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Parents looking for fun and engaging summer activities for their kids, look no further! Hillsborough County’s popular and affordable summer camps are opening registration this Saturday, April 5th, at noon.
These camps offer a wide range of indoor and outdoor games, recreational activities, and team-building exercises designed to keep children active and entertained throughout the summer break.

Camp Details:
- Dates: June 9th to August 8th, Monday through Friday.
- Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Ages:
- Traditional Camps: 6-12 years old.
- Teen Camps: 12-15 years old.
- Adaptive Recreation Camps: 5-18 years old.
- Activities: Arts and crafts, sports, recreational activities, and more.
- Cost:
- Session 1 (4 weeks): $120.
- Session 2 (5 weeks): $150.
Hillsborough County Parks & Recreation offers a safe and supervised environment where children can learn, play, and grow. Due to high demand, these camps fill up quickly, often within minutes of registration opening.
Specialty Camps:
- Skate Camp (Ages 7-12): Perfect for beginners to intermediate skaters, covering equipment, terminology, etiquette, and basic maneuvers. Includes field trips, sports, arts, and reading.
- Eco Adventure Camp (Ages 9-15): Ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, focusing on nature exploration and learning.
- Adaptive Recreation Camp (Ages 5-18): Provides a tailored and inclusive experience for individuals with disabilities, with a 1-to-6 staff-to-student ratio.
- Teen Camp (Ages 12-15): Offers a mix of high-energy activities, relaxation, and social interaction, including speakers, creative activities, sports, and team-building.
