HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Early Friday morning, five suspects learned that you can’t outrun the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, especially when there’s an eye in the sky.
Just after 3 a.m. on October 25th, deputies responded to reports of multiple individuals attempting to burglarize vehicles near U.S. Highway 301 and Paseo Al Mar Boulevard.
The HCSO Aviation Unit quickly sprang into action, providing aerial surveillance and coordinating with ground units to intercept the fleeing suspects.

Deputies successfully stopped the suspects’ vehicle and apprehended four individuals.
A fifth suspect tried to escape on foot, but the Aviation Unit tracked his location, guiding deputies directly to him and leading to his arrest.
“Let this serve as a reminder: if you attempt to run, teamHCSO will find you,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Thanks to the swift teamwork between our deputies and Aviation Section, we successfully located and arrested each suspect, ensuring our community’s safety.”
