SUN CITY CENTER, Fla. – A civilian employee of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has been arrested and charged with domestic violence.
Deputies were called to the Sun City Center home of Patti-Ann Wilkom, 52, just before 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 30. During their investigation, deputies learned that Wilkom was involved in a verbal altercation with an adult female who also resides at the home.
During the argument, Wilkom slapped the woman in the face. Wilkom admitted to the offense and was arrested for domestic violence battery.
Wilkom works as a Booking Clerk at the Orient Road Jail. She has been employed with HCSO since 2018.
“Regardless of one’s employment status with our office, if a crime is committed we will thoroughly investigate and hold them accountable for their actions,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “While we understand that this was a private, family matter that unfortunately escalated, we expect all employees of the Sheriff’s Office, whether sworn or civilian personnel, to hold themselves to a higher standard at all times.”
