Hillsborough County Seeks Professionals For New DOGE Liaison Advisory Committee

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County Commissioners are calling on qualified residents to step forward and apply for positions on the newly established Hillsborough DOGE Liaison Committee. This initiative seeks citizen involvement in an advisory capacity related to the county’s engagement with the EOG DOGE Team.

The county is looking to appoint five members to this committee. To be eligible, applicants must be registered voters residing within Hillsborough County. Furthermore, prospective members are required to possess at least one specific professional credential from the following fields: Accountancy, Economics, Finance, Certified Auditing, Information Technology, or Human Resources.

These positions are voluntary, and members will serve without financial compensation. The committee’s primary role is to advise the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) and the County Administrator. Members will be responsible for providing monthly written updates on their progress and submitting a final comprehensive report at the conclusion of their work.

The initial term for committee members is set for one year, with the possibility of extension by a majority vote of the BOCC. The committee is expected to hold meetings on a monthly basis.

It is crucial that all forms are signed, dated, and all questions are answered completely, as incomplete applications will not be considered. County policy generally restricts individuals from serving on more than one board simultaneously unless specifically approved by the BOCC.
