HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County is calling on local residents to apply for a position on the CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas Workforce Development Board, a key body responsible for guiding workforce development initiatives in the region. Applications are due by close of business on February 28, 2025.
The Workforce Development Board provides policy guidance and oversight for workforce development activities in Hillsborough and Pinellas counties, in partnership with the Hillsborough Pinellas Workforce Development Consortium.
Its responsibilities include implementing programs under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), developing annual budgets, and establishing policies to ensure effective governance and performance outcomes for CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas (CSHP).

One position is currently vacant on the Board, designated for a representative from the Hillsborough County business sector. The term for this position ends on June 30, 2025. Applicants must hold optimum policy-making authority within their place of business and demonstrate a commitment to advancing workforce development in the region.
Eligibility and Requirements
- Applicants must reside in and be registered voters in Hillsborough County.
- Appointees will be required to file an annual financial disclosure.
- Board members serve voluntarily and without compensation.
- The Hillsborough Pinellas Workforce Development Consortium will vote on final appointments.

- A signed Standards of Conduct Form.
