HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Board of Commissioners is inviting residents to apply for a position on the Hillsborough Transit Authority (HART) Board. To be eligible, applicants must be registered voters residing in Hillsborough County. This is a voluntary, unpaid role.

Interested residents must complete a Questionnaire for County Appointments and Standards form, available on the County’s website at HCFL.gov. To locate the forms, simply search for “Announcement & Forms.”

Applications must be fully completed, signed, and dated. Incomplete submissions will not be considered. The deadline for submitting applications is the close of business on September 20, 2024. Appointments will be made during a Board of County Commissioners meeting in November or December 2024.

HART’s mission is to provide transportation that enhances the lives of residents. There is currently one open position, designated as a representative for the Board of County Commissioners, with a three-year term. Appointed members must reside in the unincorporated area of Hillsborough County and will be required to file an annual financial disclosure. The HART Board meets monthly on the first Monday at 9:30 AM.
