Hillsborough County Public Library Offers Free Programs In September For All Ages

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Public Library Cooperative invites residents to enjoy a variety of free programs throughout September, catering to all ages.

Below are some highlights of the upcoming events. For a complete list of programs, visit the “Events & Classes” tab at HCPLC.org.

Program Highlights:

  • Introduction to BrainFuse HelpNow for Teens
    • Date/Time: Tuesday, Sept. 3 at 7 p.m.
    • Location: Bloomingdale Regional Public Library, Valrico, FL
    • Teens can learn about online tutoring and study resources. Registration recommended.
  • Deep Sea Adventure: Jellyfish
    • Dates/Locations:
      • Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 11 a.m. – Town ’N Country Regional Public Library, Tampa, FL
      • Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 6 p.m. – C. Blythe Andrews, Jr. Public Library, Tampa, FL
    • Explore the world of jellyfish and create a bioluminescent jellyfish painting. For ages 5 and up. Registration recommended.
  • 3D Modeling with TinkerCAD for Kids and Teens
    • Date/Time: Thursday, Sept. 12
      • 4 p.m. for Kids – North Tampa Branch Library, Tampa, FL
      • 5 p.m. for Teens – New Tampa Regional Library, Tampa, FL
    • Learn the basics of 3D modeling. Registration recommended.
  • Art Shop
    • Dates/Locations:
      • Friday, Sept. 13 at 3 p.m. – Robert W. Saunders, Sr. Public Library, Tampa, FL
      • Saturday, Sept. 28 at 10:30 a.m. – Thonotosassa Branch Library, Thonotosassa, FL
    • Kids will shop for art supplies with play money and create a masterpiece while learning about budgeting. For ages 6 to 12. Registration recommended.
  • Life Cycle of a Star – Nebula Spin Art
    • Dates/Locations:
      • Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 3:30 p.m. – Ruskin Branch Library, Ruskin, FL
      • Thursday, Sept. 26 at 6 p.m. – SouthShore Regional Library, Ruskin, FL
    • Learn about stars and create nebula art using a salad spinner. For all ages. Registration recommended.
