HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County Tax Collector Nancy Millan announced that the 2024 property tax roll is now open, with payments due by March 31st, 2025.
To assist residents impacted by Hurricanes Milton and Helene, the Tax Collector’s Office is offering extended relief measures and flexible payment options.
Extended Discount Period:
Property owners can take advantage of a 4% discount on their tax bill by paying early. This discount period has been extended through December 31st, 2024, to provide additional time for those focused on hurricane recovery.
Early Payment Options:
While tax notices will be mailed on November 25th, 2024, property owners can view and pay their bills online now at hillstax.org. Online payment options include debit/credit card or free “e-Check” from a checking account.

Other Payment Options:
- In-person: Payments can be made at all Hillsborough County Tax Collector offices starting November 1st, 2024.
- Drop Box: Payments can be dropped off at Tax Collector office locations.
- Mail: Payments must be postmarked on or before the deadline dates.
- Partial Payments: Taxpayers can make partial payments towards their property taxes, with some restrictions.
- Installment Plan: Property owners can apply for the 2025 installment plan, which allows for quarterly tax payments throughout the year while still taking advantage of discounts.
Hurricane Relief Resources:
- Property Damage Reporting: Residents who experienced property damage from the hurricanes can submit reports to the Hillsborough County Property Appraiser’s Office online, via email, or by phone.
- Tax Relief Options: The Tax Collector’s Office can provide information on available tax relief options for those impacted by the storms.

Property tax payments are due by March 31, 2025.
