Hillsborough County residents, businesses, and visitors are encouraged to sign up for HCFL Alert, the County’s official emergency notification system. HCFL Alert provides real-time messages about sandbag distribution, evacuations, flooding, road closures, and other important information. Users can also opt-in for non-emergency updates about local programs, events, and grant opportunities.

Emergency managers urge everyone to prepare for potential disasters by creating a plan in advance. Hillsborough County’s Annual Disaster Guide is a valuable resource to help residents, businesses, and visitors prepare for natural hazards common to the area.
