HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County is initiating a series of eight public meetings to gather community feedback on the impact of recent severe weather events, including seasonal rainfall and Hurricanes Debby, Helene, and Milton, on the county’s stormwater infrastructure. The first meeting will take place on Tuesday evening in Town ‘N Country at Pierce Middle School.
The county is seeking to understand the cumulative flooding impacts experienced by residents and businesses, aiming to develop effective regional flood mitigation and resiliency strategies. An independent engineering firm has been contracted to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the damage caused by the 2024 storms.
