TAMPA, Fla – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue fought a residential structure fire this morning in Tampa.
“We received 911 calls at 8:22 A.M. on Monday from individuals reporting a fire at a house at the 2000 block of S. 51st Street,” said HCFR.
Engine 15 was first on the scene, reporting heavy smoke from the front of the residence. They advanced a hose line into the structure for an aggressive interior attack, suppressing the blaze in just five minutes and keeping it isolated to the room of origin in the kitchen.

Additional crews conducted primary and secondary searches of the house, and no occupants were found.
There were no injuries to first responders or civilians. The cause of the fire has been determined to be related to cooking.
