HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of an inmate who passed away at Tampa General Hospital.
Jack Daniel Knox, 37, was initially transported to the hospital on August 28th after reporting stomach pain to detention staff. Tragically, on September 3rd, Knox suffered cardiac arrest and was pronounced deceased.

The Sheriff’s Office is conducting a thorough death investigation and awaiting the Medical Examiner’s official report on the cause of death.
