HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A 27-year-old Ocala man was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 (I-75) late Tuesday night, April 8, 2025. The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reported that the incident involved a tractor-trailer, a Hyundai Sonata, and an F-350 towing a cattle trailer.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 11:30 PM, a tractor-trailer, driven by a 25-year-old Gainesville man, was traveling northbound on I-75. The tractor-trailer became disabled and stopped on the outside shoulder of the highway, north of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard.

A Hyundai Sonata, driven by a 27-year-old Ocala man, who was also the brother of the tractor-trailer driver, stopped just ahead of the disabled tractor-trailer to provide assistance.
An F-350 towing a cattle trailer, driven by a 23-year-old Campbellsville, Kentucky man, was also traveling northbound on I-75. The FHP report indicates that the cattle trailer drifted onto the shoulder of the highway.
The trailer first collided with the driver’s side of the tractor-trailer, then continued forward and struck the Ocala man, who had exited his vehicle to help. Troopers say the man suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.

Following the crash, the driver from Kentucky fled the scene and drove to a Gate gas station located at SR-56 and Cypress Ridge Boulevard. An FHP Trooper located the driver at the gas station, where he was reportedly changing a tire.
The driver, identified as Noah Alexander Riley, was arrested for leaving the scene of a crash involving a death and was taken to the Hillsborough County Jail.
