TAMPA, Fla – A rabies vaccination is one of the most important preventive measures to ensure the health of dogs and cats as well as for the safety of their families, but too many pet owners skip this vital step.
Hillsborough County Pet Resources is offering a free shot clinic for dogs and cats on Saturday, April 15, at Larry Sanders Sports Complex, 5855 S. 78th St., Tampa, FL 33619.
The clinic will feature rabies vaccinations for dogs and cats that are 3 months or older, microchips, and tags and registration for animals that received their rabies vaccination.

The clinic will operate from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until supplies run out.
The Pet Resource Center, 440 N. Falkenburg Rd., Tampa, FL 33619, is the only open-admissions shelter in Hillsborough County, meaning the shelter accepts all dogs and cats regardless of breed, size, or medical condition.
The shelter is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
