RIVERVIEW, Fla. – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue fought a residential house fire in Riverview on Monday afternoon.

“Our Emergency Dispatch Center received a 911 call at 2:50 P.M. from a first-party caller reporting visible smoke and flames coming from the house at 13511 Padron Court in Riverview,” said HCFR.

The first arriving crews confirmed heavy smoke and fire and pulled a handline to initiate an aggressive interior fire attack. Oncoming crews established a water supply from a nearby hydrant and performed primary and secondary searches.

Fortunately, there were no occupants inside the house. According to officials, it took firefighters about 20 minutes to extinguish the blaze.

There were no injuries to first responders or civilians.

“Our investigator determined the fire originated in the kitchen and was caused by cooking,” said HCFR.
