TAMPA, Fla. – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue (HCFR) crews responded to a residential fire at 8728 Cobblestone Dr. in Tampa this morning. The incident, reported at approximately 7:42 AM, drew a rapid response from local firefighters.
Multiple 911 calls alerted HCFR dispatch to the blaze, describing a two-story home engulfed in heavy smoke with visible flames emanating from the garage. The first HCFR unit arrived on the scene within six minutes of the initial dispatch, confirming the severity of the situation.

Firefighters immediately launched an aggressive interior attack, focusing on containing the fire within the garage. Their quick and coordinated efforts proved successful, preventing the flames from spreading to the rest of the residence. The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes of operations.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported to civilians or firefighters during the incident.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. HCFR officials have stated that they will release further information as it becomes available.
