HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue fought a fire at a manufactured home on Thursday morning in Tampa.

According to officials, at 6:20 AM, HCFR’s Emergency Dispatch Center received multiple 911 calls from callers reporting flames and smoke coming from the structure at 9503 Six Mile Creek Road.

Commuters could even see a column of smoke from Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

HCFR’s Quint 9 was first on the scene, reporting a fully involved single-wide mobile home.

Crews stretched a handline to aggressively attack the blaze interiorly, declaring the fire under control in under 15 minutes.

Firefighters conducted primary and secondary searches, finding no occupants in the house.

There were no injuries to firefighters or civilians. Our fire investigations unit is on the scene, working to determine the cause,” said HCFR.
