GIBSONTON, Fla. – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue was on the scene of a residential structure fire that began late Sunday and has continued into early Monday morning.

At 11:06 PM, the emergency dispatch center began receiving 911 calls from callers reporting a two-story, elevated house on Kracker Avenue in Gibsonton was on fire.

Callers also stated explosions were occurring inside the house.

Officials say the first arriving unit encountered a fully involved elevated house.

Firefighters began fighting the fire defensively and, within minutes, established aerial operations to battle the blaze.

Crews declared the fire under control an hour into the operation.

No civilians or firefighters were injured, and all occupants have been accounted for. Our Fire Investigation Unit is on the scene and has begun working to determine the fire’s origin.

The American Red Cross has been called to assist the displaced family.
