RIVERVIEW, Fla. – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue is on the scene of a major fire at Mosaic, located at 8813 US Highway 41 in Riverview.

Fire units were dispatched at 5:47 P.M. on Monday for a reported brush fire on the property.

The first arriving units found a large brush fire rapidly expanding due to high winds.

The fire had also grown to involve high-density polyethylene pipes. Crews worked with Mosaic personnel to contain the massive, high-heat blaze.

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office used air operations, and the Florida Forest Service worked with HCFR brush trucks to mitigate brush fires.

Firefighters utilized water tanker shuttles to supply the significant amounts of water needed to fight the fire. Personnel were not injured at the scene. The fires are under control, and crews are still actively working to put out hot spots. There has been no threat to public safety.
