HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County, Florida, is extending its state of local emergency until October 27th to continue addressing the impacts of Hurricane Milton.

County Administrator Bonnie Wise signed the extension, which follows the original declaration issued on October 6th as the storm approached.

This extension enables the county to maintain emergency operations, including debris removal and recovery efforts. It also allows for continued access to federal funds for hurricane-related expenses.
