HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – All Hillsborough County offices and facilities will be closed on Friday, Sept. 27, to allow staff to focus on emergency response efforts for Hurricane Helene.
The closure affects all County libraries, parks, preserves, and recreation centers, and all public meetings have been postponed. The Water Resources Career Fair, initially scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 28, has also been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date.

Trash, Recycling, Yard Waste Pickup Suspended
Hillsborough County Solid Waste will suspend all trash, recycling, and yard waste collection services on Friday, Sept. 27. Residents are advised not to place items out for collection until after the storm passes. Regular collection is expected to resume on Saturday, Sept. 28.
Residents who miss pickup due to the storm will receive service on their next regularly scheduled collection day.
