Higher than normal tides are expected this morning and into this afternoon, which may cause minor flooding in coastal areas around the time of high tide.
Coastal and barrier island residents and those traveling through these areas should prepare for potential localized flooding.
Remember, brake don’t wake, authorities say.

A Tornado Watch has been issued for Hillsborough, Manatee, Pinellas, Pasco, Citrus, and Hernando counties until 3 p.m.
The National Weather Service confirmed there was at least one tornado in Citrus County and one in Pinellas County.
The NWS said crews will be at each site today to survey the damage.
In Clearwater, fire rescue officials said they were on the scene of an apparent tornado touchdown in the north part of Clearwater Beach near El Dorado Avenue.
In Crystal River, several roads are closed as first responders assess the storm damage. The sheriff’s office said the following roads are closed due to down power lines, trees and flooding.
- Fort Island Trail and Three Sisters Springs Trail intersection
- NE 9th St., 8th St., and 1st St., in the Copeland Park area
- Crystal Street near the intersection of W Balloon Lane
- SE 8th Terrace
- Ozello Trail and Winterset Avenue intersection
- Whitewater Terrace and Turkey Oak intersection
