High-Speed Motorcycle Crash In Lutz Claims Life Of Land O’ Lakes Man

LUTZ, Fla. – A 22-year-old Land O’ Lakes man died following a multi-vehicle crash on US-41 in Lutz Thursday morning. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the fatal collision occurred around 9:00 a.m.

The crash involved a Kawasaki motorcycle, a Toyota RAV4, and a Chevrolet Traverse. The motorcyclist was traveling southbound on US-41 at a high rate of speed. South of Carts Lake Lane, in the center lane, the motorcycle overtook and collided with a Toyota RAV4, driven by a 32-year-old Land O’ Lakes man.

Upon impact, the motorcyclist was ejected and propelled into the inside lane of US-41, where he was then struck by a Chevy Traverse, driven by a 33-year-old Land O’ Lakes woman.

The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The drivers of the Toyota RAV4 and the Chevy Traverse were not injured in the crash.
