SPRING HILL, Fla. – A routine traffic stop in Hernando County led to the arrest of two men on drug trafficking charges after a K9 unit alerted them to the presence of narcotics in their vehicle. The incident occurred on July 26th, 2024, when deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Commercial Way.

Inside, deputies found trafficking amounts of methamphetamine and smaller quantities of crack cocaine in the driver’s seat pocket. The driver, Nick Albert Crescitelli, and passenger, Joseph Alan Watkins, were arrested and charged with drug trafficking and possession offenses.
Additionally, a warrant check revealed Watkins had an outstanding warrant for failure to pay child support, resulting in an additional charge. Crescitelli’s bond was set at $6,000, while Watkins is being held without bond.
