HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – On September 19, 2024, undercover detectives from the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office conducted compliance checks at 10 businesses throughout the county to ensure they were not selling alcohol or nicotine products to minors.
Four businesses failed the compliance check:
- Shell – 19275 Cortez Boulevard
- Warehouse Wine and Liquor – 3077 Anderson Snow Road
- Sunoco – 7170 Barclay Avenue
- 7-11 – 15310 Cortez Boulevard
The clerks who sold alcohol to the underage customer are required to complete Responsible Vendor Training within 30 days.
Six businesses passed the compliance check:
- Shell – 3275 Broad Street, Brooksville
- 7-Eleven – 16161 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill
- Circle K – 14195 Elgin Boulevard, Spring Hill
- Mobil – 14333 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill
- XLNT Smoke Shop – 19542 Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville
- Yellow Lemon Smoke Shop – 3065 Anderson Snow Road, Spring Hill
The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office plans to conduct more operations like this in the future.
