SPRING HILL, Fla. – Emily Nikole Shirey, the 19-year-old who went missing from her Spring Hill home on Sunday, has been found safe.
The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office announced that Shirey was located by law enforcement and is being reunited with her family.
PREVIOUS REPORT: The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing endangered adult who was last seen on Sunday afternoon.
A Purple Alert has been issued for 19-year-old Emily Nikole Shirey, who suffers from a significant cognitive disability and is prone to getting lost, according to HCSO.

Shirey was last seen in the area of Hastings Road in Spring Hill around noon on December 29th, 2024, after an argument with family members. She left her home on a bicycle without her cell phone, food, or money.
