HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – A Hernando County man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
Demetri Jordan Sanders, 23, received the sentence after a lengthy investigation that began in August 2023.
Hernando County Sheriff’s detectives received information regarding Sanders’ possession of child pornography. Upon contacting Sanders at his residence, he admitted to owning the accounts in question and allowed detectives to search his phone. Numerous files containing CSAM were found on the device.

A search warrant was executed, and a total of 19 files containing CSAM were located on Sanders’ phone. He was arrested and charged with 19 counts of possession of child pornography.
A full analysis of Sanders’ phone in October 2023 revealed an additional 33 files containing CSAM. Sanders, who was already incarcerated at the Hernando County Detention Center, was then charged with 33 more counts of possession of child pornography.
On January 16th, 2025, Sanders was sentenced to 15 years in the Florida Department of Corrections, followed by 5 years of sex offender probation.
