HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL. – Hillsborough County’s Pet Resource Center will hold a ‘Howl-iday’ Open House on Saturday to help shelter dogs and cats find a home for the holidays.
The Pet Resource Center has hundreds of dogs and cats available for adoption. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, all adoption fees will be waived with a donation of pet enrichment items, such as treats, toys, peanut butter, or chicken broth.
The event will include free fun activities for the whole family, with a photo station and opportunities to make cat and dog toys, personalized ID tags, and ornaments with your new pet’s photo.
The Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center, 440 N. Falkenburg Rd., Tampa, FL 33619, is the only open-admissions shelter in Hillsborough County, meaning the shelter accepts all dogs and cats regardless of breed, size, or medical condition. No appointments are necessary to adopt at the Howl-iday Open House.
Information and photos of dogs and cats currently available at the Pet Resource Center can be found here. All dogs and cats are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and microchipped.
