BRANDON, Fla. – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue (HCFR) crews rescued an unresponsive adult female from an early morning apartment fire on Palm Key Circle in Brandon.
At approximately 6:36 AM, HCFR’s dispatch center received multiple 911 calls from neighbors reporting heavy smoke and visible flames emanating from a first-floor apartment. The first firefighters to arrive confirmed a working fire and immediately began an interior attack and primary search of the apartment.

Firefighters quickly located the unresponsive woman inside. She was safely removed from the apartment and transferred to a waiting rescue unit for emergency medical care and transport to a nearby hospital. Her current condition is unknown.
Following the rescue, firefighters continued to combat the blaze and successfully contained the fire to the affected unit. The fire was brought under control within 20 minutes. No firefighter injuries were reported during the incident.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
