TAMPA, Fla. – Ringo Starr, the famous drummer from “The Beatles” and “Ringo’s All Starr Band” is turning 80 years old today.
To celebrate, he will be hosting “Ringo’s Big Birthday Show”, a virtual concert & charity event starting tonight at 8 pm on YouTube. Ringo will welcome special guests including Paul McCartney, Joe Walsh, Sheryl Crow, Sheila E., and others.
The show will also include an all-star performance of The Beatles’ “With a Little Help From My Friends” filmed last September during a concert celebrating the 30th anniversary of his All-Starr Band tour. Tributes will be provided by All Starr Members Peter Frampton, Steve Lukather, Colin Hay, and Gregg Rolie.
The event will benefit four charities – The Black Lives Matter Global Network, MusiCares, The David Lynch Foundation, and WaterAid.
