
NEW YORK, NY. – A helicopter crashed into the Hudson River off the coast of Manhattan on Thursday afternoon, authorities confirmed. The Associated Press is reporting that six people have been killed in the crash.
The New York City Fire Department (FDNY) stated it received a report of a helicopter down in the water near Houston Street and the Holland Tunnel at approximately 3:17 p.m. EDT.
FDNY units are currently on the scene, actively performing rescue operations in the river. The exact location is reported to be near Manhattan’s western edge.
