GULFPORT, Fla. – Brian Clough has been located deceased in his boat, according to police.
The Gulfport Police Department was seeking the public’s assistance in locating 48-year-old Brian J. Clough, who was reported missing on August 5, 2024.
Mr. Clough was last seen on his sailboat anchored approximately 50 feet from Gulfport’s Veterans Park. His vessel remained anchored throughout Tropical Storm Debby. However, on the morning of August 5th, another boater noticed that Mr. Clough’s vessel had partially sunk, with only his dog still aboard.

The Gulfport Police Department has conducted inquiries within the local boating community but has been unable to locate Mr. Clough. Once weather conditions improve, additional resources will be deployed to aid in the search.
