ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A grand jury has indicted Jerome Isom for first-degree murder in connection with the death of Yvonne Abernethy.
Yvonne Abernethy, 25, was fatally shot outside her apartment at the Reserve at Lake Point, located at 5640 Lynn Lake Dr. S., shortly before 6 a.m. on June 18.
Isom, her estranged boyfriend, has a documented history of domestic violence with Abernethy.

Isom is currently incarcerated in South Florida on unrelated charges from the Florida Highway Patrol and Miami Beach Police Department.
He will be extradited to Pinellas County to face the murder charge.
