Governor Ron DeSantis has announced the reappointment of Tina Descovich, co-founder of the conservative advocacy group Moms for Liberty, to the Florida Commission on Ethics. The move underscores DeSantis’ continued focus on aligning state appointments with individuals who share his vision for governance and education reform.
Descovich, a prominent figure in Florida’s education and political landscape, previously served on the Brevard County School Board from 2016 to 2020 and was president of the Florida Coalition of School Board Members.

A graduate of Valdosta State University with a degree in public relations, Descovich has been a vocal advocate for parental rights in education, a cornerstone of Governor DeSantis’ policy agenda.
As co-founder of Moms for Liberty, Descovich has played a key role in mobilizing parents to influence school board elections and policies across the country.
The organization, which has gained national attention, focuses on issues such as curriculum transparency, school choice, and opposing what it describes as “woke ideologies” in education.

Descovich’s reappointment comes amid a broader push by the DeSantis administration to reshape Florida’s education system and reinforce conservative values in public institutions.
