Outraged Gold Star families are contemplating a lawsuit against President Joe Biden’s former mouthpiece for lying about his behavior as the remains of troops killed in Afghanistan were brought home.
Families of the 13 troops killed in August 2021 during Biden’s hasty pullout of the wartorn Middle Eastern nation were disgusted by former White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki’s claim that Biden never looked at his watch during the dignified transfer event.
Axios had reported that Psaki, now an anchor at left-wing MSNBC, wrote in her new book “Say More,” that “the president looked at his watch only after the ceremony had ended. Moments later, he and the First Lady headed toward their car.”

Psaki, according to Axios, also asserted that Biden’s critics offered up “misinformation” by saying otherwise and that they had seized on the actual photo of Biden checking his watch to make “him appear insensitive, concerned only about how much time had passed.”
Yet Axios added that Psaki, who did not even attend the event she wrote about, was “contradicting news photos and firsthand accounts of Gold Star families,” as well as fact-checkers who support the claims of Biden’s critics.
Mark Schmitz, whose son Jared was killed in the Kabul terrorist attack, told Townhall that the MSNBC host “will be hearing from our attorney, [and] so will her publisher…to the fullest extent of the law.”
“What she wrote was absolutely disgusting and clearly only for political and financial gain at the expense of grieving Gold Star families,” he added. “Her useless a– wasn’t even there. We were.”

Schmitz also said that at the event Biden’s actions had “half the families rushing across the tarmac to pound the s–t out of him.”
Steve Nikoui, who was arrested for disrupting Biden’s State of the Union address earlier this year as he shouted about his son’s death, told Townhall, “It hurts to have the former White House Press Secretary state an outright lie for no other reason than to score, for the Democrat Party, political points at the expense of our kids’ lives and their service to their country.”
Psaki “was not there,” he added. “I witnessed it with my own eyes. She is a perfect example of the administration: all lies and false propaganda.”
Another father, Darin Hoover, told Townhall, “In the age of cancel culture, she needs to be canceled.”
“She’s trying to rewrite history and make money off of our kids’ backs and their legacy and we will not stand for it. I’m calling on NBC, MSNBC, and Simon and Schuster, the publishers, to terminate Psaki for those lies.”
After the news came out, Psaki announced that the controversial falsehood will be deleted from future editions of the book.
