A Florida man is celebrating a significant financial windfall after claiming a $2 million top prize from the Florida Lottery’s $2,000,000 GOLD RUSH MULTIPLIER Scratch-Off game.

Arthur Geddings Jr., 59, of Pensacola, claimed his prize at the Lottery’s Pensacola District Office and opted for a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,276,000.00.

Geddings purchased his winning $10 ticket from the Cumberland Farms located at 600 N. New Warrington Road in Pensacola. The retailer will receive a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the lucky ticket.

The $2,000,000 GOLD RUSH MULTIPLIER Scratch-Off game, launched in January, offers players the chance to win one of five $2 million top prizes. The game boasts over $220 million in total cash prizes and 8.6 million winning tickets, with overall odds of winning at 1 in 3.41.

Scratch-off games remain a vital component of the Florida Lottery’s portfolio, accounting for approximately 74 percent of ticket sales in the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
