GIBSONTON, Fla. – A residential structure fire in Gibsonton on Thursday evening left a home significantly damaged, but thankfully, no injuries were reported.

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue (HCFR) responded to the scene on New York Street around 7:16 PM after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting a fire that had spread from the exterior of the home to engulf the structure.

The first HCFR unit arrived within eight minutes of the initial dispatch and found the home engulfed in flames. Firefighters immediately launched an aggressive interior attack to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to neighboring properties.
