A Georgia woman is facing federal charges in Florida for allegedly using a victim’s identity to obtain a passport. Jermirria Jackson, 48, of Atlanta, has been indicted on charges of aggravated identity theft and making a false statement on a passport application.
According to court records, Jackson applied for a passport in January 2022 using a name that was not her own.
She had previously obtained identification documents in the victim’s name and used those documents to fraudulently apply for the passport.

If convicted, Jackson faces a minimum sentence of two years and a maximum of 12 years in federal prison.
The case was investigated by the U.S. Department of State’s Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Brenna Falzetta.
