Following the suicide of yet another J6 defendant, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Tuesday ripped President Joe Biden, the Justice Department, Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson, and Florida Republicans, generally for doing nothing to stop such acts.

Greene’s comments followed reporting by conservative journalist Julie Kelly, who on Tuesday spotlighted the death of David Kennedy Homol, a 55-year-old Florida man.

Kelly posted on X that she had obtained a police report noting that Homol, of Umatilla, had shot himself in the head on April 17.

He was “at least the 5th J6er to take his life rather than live under the torment of this brutal regime,” Kelly added.

“The ongoing silence by statewide officials in Florida–all Republicans–as their constituents continue to be tormented by Biden’s DOJ is inexcusable. But at least Floridians will be saved from fake meat!”

She also posted the Justice Department’s press release announcing the arrest of Homol back in January.

Federal prosecutors noted that Homol was charged with felonies that included obstruction of an official proceeding, civil disorder, and assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers.

He also faced several misdemeanor charges, including knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, engaging in physical violence in a restricted building or ground, disorderly conduct in a Capitol building, and act of physical violence on Capitol grounds.

Homol was accused of hitting two cops with a homemade flagpole made of PVC pipe during the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.

At one point, Homol texted his brother, “Today was not an antifa-inspired statement.  It was totally done by angry Trump supporters with no firearms, many singing GOD bless America, Jesus saves, etc. The corrupt politicians should be relieved this was NOT an Armed rebellion. It clearly was a statement of strength of We The People.”

Homol’s death occurred as the Biden administration is ramping up efforts to arrest J6 defendants.

As the Tampa Free Press reported on Wednesday, the FBI had arrested 159 people for J6-related crimes during the first four months of 2024.

That was nearly double the number of arrests the FBI made during the same time period last year (83 arrests) and in the same time frame in 2022 (85 arrests).

Greene, who has regularly spotlighted the feds’ maltreatment of J6 prisoners still held in jail awaiting adjudication, referenced Homol, although not by name, during her House floor speech in her bid to boot Johnson as speaker.

“Joe Biden’s weaponized DOJ is arresting a new January 6 election protester every single day,” said Greene, who then referenced the fifth suicide of a J6 defendant.

Her point was that Johnson had refused GOP lawmakers opportunities to defund the DOJ’s pursuit of such cases.

Posting about Kelly’s report on X, she mentioned the “5th Jan6 suicide that we know of,” and added, “Antifa and BLM rioters are not committing suicide under intense political prosecutions.”

“Shame on Biden’s DOJ. Shame on [U.S. Attorney in Washington] Matthew Graves. Shame on Republicans for doing nothing to stop it.”
