A Georgia woman has been arrested for allegedly shooting her son during a dispute over a video game console.
According to police, on June 29, around 10:22 pm, officers responded to a person shot at a home on Sparks St SW in Atlanta.
When officers arrived at the location, they found a 17-year-old male victim with multiple gunshot wounds.
EMS responded to the scene and transported the male to the hospital for treatment. The shooter, who is also the victim’s mother, identified as 34-year-old Jaquana Butler, remained on the scene.

“Preliminary investigation indicates a dispute occurred between Ms. Butler and her son over a video game console which escalated to gunfire,” said Atlanta Police Department.
Police said Butler pulled a firearm during the dispute and shot her son multiple times before units arrived on the scene.
Butler was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, Reckless Conduct, and Cruelty to Children and was transported to the Fulton County Jail.
