An Atlanta jury has convicted Sincere Rush, 22, of malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during a felony in connection with the death of Marcus Bradford, 51, on November 28, 2022.

The shooting occurred outside a rooming house on Clifton Church Road. Bradford was found in the carport with a gunshot wound to his torso. Rush was also present at the scene.

The investigation revealed that Rush confronted Bradford and his girlfriend while eating pizza in a car. Bradford got out of the car to talk to Rush and explained that he and his girlfriend were not being loud, but Rush shot him.

Rush claimed self-defense, but surveillance video contradicted his account, showing that Bradford was unarmed and that Rush had approached him with a gun.

Rush’s sentencing is scheduled for July 10. The DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office prosecuted the case, which was investigated by the DeKalb County Police Department.
