PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A tractor-trailer carrying garbage overturned this morning while exiting Interstate 75 onto State Road 52 in Pasco County, according to a preliminary report from the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
The incident occurred at approximately 10:07 AM. The report indicates that the driver, a 48-year-old man from Tampa, was heading northbound on I-75 and attempted to exit onto SR-52. For reasons still under investigation, the tractor-trailer failed to negotiate the turn on the exit ramp and subsequently overturned.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the crash. The FHP report states that the driver sustained minor injuries as a result of the rollover. However, he was not transported to a hospital for further medical treatment.
The overturned garbage truck caused temporary disruption to traffic flow on the SR-52 exit ramp. Authorities worked to secure the scene and begin the process of removing the vehicle and clearing the debris.
