Garbage Truck Overturns On I-75 Exit Ramp, Lithia Man Sustains Only Minor Injuries

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A garbage truck overturned on the exit ramp of Interstate 75 at mile marker 246 yesterday afternoon, resulting in minor injuries to the driver.

The incident occurred around 1:00 PM on Friday. The truck, driven by a 28-year-old man from Lithia, was heading southbound on I-75 when the driver lost control while exiting the highway. The truck collided with several construction barrels and flipped multiple times before coming to a stop.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported the driver to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
