Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis filed a motion Wednesday to set former president Donald Trump’s trial one day before Super Tuesday.

According to the motion, Trump and 18 other defendants are scheduled to go to trial on March 4, 2024, and are charged with conspiring to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia.

Super Tuesday, which is the day when most states hold their primary elections, will be on March 5, 2024, according to U.S. Presidential Election News.

“In light of Defendant Donald John Trump’s other criminal and civil matters pending in the courts of our sister sovereigns, the State of Georgia proposes certain deadlines that do not conflict with these other courts’ already-scheduled hearings and trial dates,” the motion reads.

Republicans rallied around former President Donald Trump following Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ grand jury indictment of Trump, saying she is using it to fundraise her political career.

“Justice should be blind, but Biden has weaponized government against his leading political opponent to interfere in the 2024 election. Now a radical DA in Georgia is following Biden’s lead by attacking President Trump and using it to fundraise her political career. Americans see through this desperate sham,” said House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.

A grand jury in Fulton County, Georgia, handed down ten indictments Monday, charging Trump and other associates over Trump’s efforts to contest the 2020 election results in that state.

The charges in this state case brings the total number of criminal charges he’s facing across four separate cases to 91.

“This is another rogue Far Left radical District Attorney weaponizing their office to target Joe Biden’s top political opponent President Trump,” said House Republican Conference Chair Elise Stefanik. “President Trump had every legal right to challenge the results of the election. This radical DA displayed political bias toward President Trump so much that a judge disqualified her from part of this case. This blatant election interference by the Far Left will not work, President Trump will defeat these bogus charges and win back the White House in 2024.”

A document listing charges against Trump was posted on the website of the Fulton County courts Monday afternoon before being deleted. During a Monday night press conference,

Willis claimed ignorance about the leak.

Rep. Jim Jordan said, “Today’s indictment is just the latest political attack in the Democrats’ WITCH HUNT against President Trump. He did nothing wrong!”

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley, “You look at this indictment and every call, every tweet, every speech seems to be a separate criminal act that composes this conspiracy. That raises really troubling questions as to the criminalization of the challenges to elections….it’s a very troubling indictment.”
