Frostproof Man Arrested On Multiple Felony Charges Linked To Semi Tire Thefts

POLK COUNTY, FL (April 12, 2025) – A Frostproof man faces a slew of felony charges after his arrest by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) Friday evening.

Mark Wayne Jones, Jr., 33, was taken into custody at his residence on Hopson Road on April 11th. Deputies located Jones at his home and arrested him based on an outstanding Polk County warrant.

The warrant stemmed from an investigation into a series of semi-truck tire thefts. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Jones is accused of numerous offenses related to these incidents.

The charges listed on the warrant include:

  • Burglary (11 counts)
  • Grand Theft (11 counts)
  • Possession of Burglary Tools (10 counts)
  • Criminal Mischief (2 counts)
  • Illegal Use of a 2-Way Communication Device (1 count)

Jones was transported to the Polk County Jail following his arrest.
