Frostproof Man Arrested After Bringing Meth To Meet With Polk County Deputy

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Michael Henson, 48, of Frostproof, was arrested by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) on Friday afternoon, March 28th, on multiple charges, including drug possession.

PCSO deputies had been searching for Henson in connection to a motor vehicle theft and criminal mischief case. He also had an outstanding warrant for dealing in stolen property.

Deputies initially went to Henson’s residence, but he was not present.

A deputy then arranged for Henson to return to his residence to meet with him.

Henson arrived and was arrested. During a subsequent search, deputies found Henson to be in possession of two baggies of methamphetamine and a pipe.

The PCSO highlighted that Henson knowingly brought illegal drugs with him to a scheduled meeting with a deputy.

Michael Henson was taken to the Polk County Jail. He was booked on the outstanding warrant and additionally charged with:

  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Motor vehicle theft
  • Criminal mischief
  • Possession of methamphetamine
