A 38-year-old Florida man is the latest resident to experience the life-changing thrill of a lottery win. The Florida Lottery announced today that Alexander Demooy, of Naples, claimed a staggering $1 million prize from the popular 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game.
He collected his winnings at the Lottery’s Fort Myers District Office, opting for a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000.00.
Demooy’s lucky ticket was purchased at the Publix supermarket located at 175 S. Barfield Drive in Marco Island. The retailer will also share in the excitement, receiving a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
