With the stakes high in Iowa, Ron DeSantis and his supporters recognize the importance of a strong finish, and top leaders from the GOP are showing up for Desantis.
Texas Rep. Chip Roy, joined by Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie and Georgia Rep. Rich McCormick, said DeSantis is ‘the man’ to get the job done.
“Hey everybody, this is Chip Roy from Texas; you guys get out of the vote. We need to make sure we get Ron DeSantis elected; he’s the guy. He’s got the work in to earn, your vote. Show up tonight and we can make history,” said Roy.

The outcome of the Iowa caucuses can have a significant impact on a candidate’s presidential prospects. A poor showing in Iowa can be detrimental to a campaign, while a strong performance can provide momentum and solidify a candidate’s position as a top contender.
For DeSantis, a third-place finish or a weak second-place performance could jeopardize his chances of securing the nomination.
While some concede that outright victory may be challenging, they view a close second-place finish as a successful outcome. Anything less than that could be seen as a setback for DeSantis’ campaign, potentially undermining his chances of gaining traction in subsequent primaries.
Regardless of the outcome in Iowa, DeSantis has affirmed his commitment to staying in the race. He has stated that he will continue campaigning, even if he doesn’t perform as well as expected in the caucuses.
DeSantis’ determination to persevere suggests that he believes there are opportunities beyond Iowa to make a compelling case for his candidacy.
