MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. – To kick off the 4th of July Holiday Weekend, St. Petersburg Fire Rescue is partnering up with Seminole Fire Rescue and Madeira Beach Fire Department for a life jacket giveaway event to help kids stay safe in and around water.
According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, drowning is the leading cause of unintentional death in the United States among children 1 to 4 years of age and the third leading cause of unintentional death among children/adolescents 5 to 19 years of age.
In efforts to prevent these tragedies from occurring, we will be at Archibald Beach Park on July 1st distributing water safety information and free life jackets for children while supplies last.
Date: Friday, July 1st, 2022
Time: 10:00 AM -12:00 PM
